Throwback Thursday: Cascadas de Agua Azul

Gorgeous waterfalls and endless pools are accessible near Palenque at the Cascadas de Agua Azul. With the opening of the new Mayan Train on the Yucatan Peninsula (access from Cancun), this area just became infinitely more accessible. My absolute favorite place to stay in the area is the Hotel Maya Bell with its rustic cabins, lively bar and wonderful saltwater natural stone swimming pool.
