Throwback Thursday: Puerto Escondido

In honor of getting to spend the past few weeks with my sister, this Throwback Thursday features Renee and I in Puerto Escondido during my first extended trip to Mexico. We had been in Mexico for about 5 months at that point (as evidenced by that TAN!!) and were staying in a local woman's garden apartment. We stayed for a month, exploring the beaches, taking language and surf lessons while getting to know the locals. Although I know it has changed and these days I prefer Puerto Angel, I will always have a soft spot for the vibrant and lively culture of Puerto Escondido.
